THESE ARE THE INSANELY FAST SPLIT TIMES THAT WON TIM WENISCH THE HYROX WORLD TITLE

The 2025 Hyrox World Championships in Chicago kicked off with the Elite 15 qualifiers racing for their place on the podium, and German athlete Tim Wenisch has taken the number-one spot. With a rapid time of 53:53, he pipped Hunter McIntyre by 5 seconds, claiming first place in the men's category.

Wenisch's split times have been released, showing his fastest 1k to be a ridiculously quick 2 minutes and 45 seconds (after seven workout stations, no less).

Speaking to Men's Health, Wenisch said, 'I'm feeling amazing, it's completely unreal to be the world champion. I'm just happy for me, and also for my supporters who believed in me since [sic] years.'

And when asked what's next for the athlete he said, 'I can't wait to get partying with all the people together and just enjoy the moment.' However, he mentioned he has two more races – the relay and men's doubles – so he won't be having too much fun just yet.

Twenty-six-year-old Wenisch signed up for his first Hyrox in 2018 and has since taken part in 33 races, with his 33rd being his first title. 'I love it to be first place between two Americans, I love that feeling,' he said.
